DX from Sky Pond
    September 2015

Judy and I went to Sky Pond this afternoon for a swim. It was nearly
    85F.
We had a great swim and afterwards I set up the little Mountain
    Topper.
I worked England, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Canada and a few
    states.

Sky Pond is a remote lake in the foothills of the White Mountains.
    It's
a favorite spot for fishermen in the spring. The only one on the
    lake today
    was a solitary loon.

I set up the LNR 40, 30 20 end fed wire as an inverted L. It went up
    about
25 feet and over 40 feet. It really worked well.

I started out on 20 meters working stations in the CWT sprint. Then
    I switched
to 40 meters and worked Virginia, Pennsylvania and Quebec.  I
    went back to 20
meters for a final contact with Hungary. The MTR is powered with 8
    AA cells.
It runs about 3 watts. Here's my log:

I operated about 20 minutes and headed home. Judy made some homemade
    fruit sherbet.
